Algonquin Email

It is now a requirement included in the Course Outline Directive (E33) for students to read their Algonquin email in a timely fashion.

Background to this policy:

Last year, over 40% of students never checked their Algonquin email. In addition, over 900 students could not receive email because they had

• made a mistake in setting their preferred email
• changed their email and failed to update ACSIS
• run out of quota on hotmail or yahoo mail and their mail bounced.

Students can set your preferred email in ACSIS, but need to be aware that webmail accounts at, for example, yahoo or hotmail will fill up quickly and they probably will not be able to exchange assignments with their teachers.
