There are numerous glossaries and dictionaries on the web dealing with online learning, instructional design and computing technology. Here are some of the most popular for your reference. Please note that the boundaries between these areas can be rather unclear, so you may have some computer technology in the E-Learning glossaries and vice versa.

4E-Learning

• Glossary of Open and Distance Learning Terms - This glossary includes terms from an programme administration viewpoint (Commonwealth for Learning).
• Internet Learning Solutions Group E-Learning Glossary - This site provides an excellent overview of the terms E-Learning instructors and administrators should know (Cisco Systems).
• E-Learning Mega Glossary  - Billed as "World's biggest, or at least most irreverent, e-Learning glossary", it provide decent definitions that are in plain language, with a bit of humour too (E-Learning Guru.com).

• Glossaries of Learning Technologies Terms - A comprehensive metasite which also includes links to some E-Learning glossaries as well (Human Resources Development Canada, Office of Learning Technologies).
• Distance Education Clearinghouse - Even though the name may suggest Distance Learning terminology, the majority of links on this metasite refer to computing technology (University of Wisconsin -Extension).
• Free On-Line Dictionary of Computing - Pretty much just as the name says! Very helpful search engine is provided with links within the definition to other terms (Imperial College, London).
