Algonquin College Network and Systems Maintenance

From December 24, 2006 until January 1, 2007 services to Blackboard, Internet, ACSIS, Email and other related applications will be updated. Please expect services during that time to be either intermittent or unavailable.

Specifically, Information Technology Services will be performing necessary upgrades to the Blackboard system commencing on Thursday December 21st at 5 PM and ending on Friday December 29th at midnight. During this maintenance the Blackboard system will not be available and it will not be possible to review course materials, content or grades on the Blackboard system.

Additionally between December 27th through to December 29th there will also be changes to the networking that supports the College's email and other Internet available services such as ACSIS or the College's main web site. During this time it will not be possible to send or receive email.

ITS will be performing maintenance and upgrades on the College's Network System on Saturday, December 2nd, 2006 between 6:30 AM and 7:30 AM.

This maintenance is necessary to improve the reliability and performance of the College's Internet systems. During this upgrade, access to the
Blackboard, ACSIS, the College's email services, the Elearning web site, the College's main web site, Continuing Education Catalogue web
server and access to the College network via VPN will be intermittently disrupted.

On Sunday, December 3, Information Technology Services will be performing maintenance and software updates to the Algonquin College Email and Calendar System. This maintenance will take place between 5:30 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. During this time, access to the Algonquin College Email and Calendar System through Microsoft Outlook or Webmail, (http://webmail.algonquincollege.com), will be unavailable.

On Sunday, November 26th 2006, ITS will be performing maintenance on the Algonquin College Email System. Maintenance to email services will take place between 5:30 AM to 11:30 AM.

During the upgrade the mail system will be unavailable as the changes are made.

On Sunday, November 12th 2006, ITS will be performing emergency maintenance on the Algonquin College Communications Suite, including both
Calendar and Email Services. Maintenance to email services will take place between 6:00 AM to 8:00 AM and maintenance to the calendaring
system will be between 7:30 AM to 2:00 PM.

From 6:00 AM to 8:00 AM access to all email services will be unavailable.

ITS will be performing updates to the College's systems on Sunday, October 1st, 2006 from 6:00 AM to 12:00PM.

ITS will be performing network modifications and to make enhancements to our current College Internet connection. As a result, during the
upgrade the Internet will be intermittently available as equipment is changed.
