Case Study 3

 

In this case you are asked to study one of the dilemmas presented in the last two slides this week (Week 6). Describe clearly the technology involved, and the problem it poses (now or in the future). Then tell us specific steps you think we should take to deal with it, and why you believe your suggestions are the best possible response. (Note that if you want to ‘show off’ this work to an employer, the subject of protecting your kids from internet dangers is not the best choice!)

Be sure you have adequate detail - eg “the government needs to do something” is not as good as “I believe we should write our MP to ask for legisilation that will….. etc.”

To give an adequate answer, you will need to draw from the text and your own creative thinking.

To give an excellent answer (i.e. ‘A’ quality) you will need to draw from sources outside the text – from research on the web, from personal experience, etc. Here’s a great chance to use the Web Research skills you learned this week!

  • Clear writing, sufficient ‘own words’ content, headings used, no grammar/spelling errors serious enough to affect readability
