MODULE DESCRIPTION

Module 4, Trends and Demographics, examines Canadian and/or worldwide population density, distribution and dynamics to understand and predict trends, problems and policy. The student will use on-line resource materials to study and learn how demographics can forecast trends in a variety of areas. Problems, issues and policy creation relating to demographics are also examined.

The student will learn to conduct demographic research in an area of interest (such as business or the environment) and make forecasts based on this research.

The completion time for the module is six weeks.

Progress Email Memorandum Assignment

Analytical assignment - research and produce a report analyzing a Canadian and worldwide demographic and forecasting possible future repercussions of the analysis based on the research. The report will require the student to collect and organize information from a variety of sources, report using visual, numerical, and narrative data, and write at a college-level.
